Since I had the day to myself today, I took it easy. I woke up around 9am...pulled up the blinds to be greeted with rain. I asked myself if I was in Seattle or Portland due to the fog, rain, and grayness of the city today. I took a shower and got ready for the day. After some email checking, catching up on last night's episode of Survivor, and a few other things, I decided I should get outside for awhile.
I walked down to the Mill City Museum. It is the old Gold Medal Flour mill. Such a cool place to walk through. I will post pictures when I get home. After spending some time learning about the old mill, I strolled down along the river front. Minneapolis is turning a lot of the old mills into urban apartment living. After the riverwalk stroll i went over to the Metrodome. By this time I was getting hungry and thought I could find something to eat. The only downfall to the area we are in does not have much grab and go type of food. I didn't want sit and eat some big expensive meal for lunch. I ended up going back to the hotel and grabbing a snack.
Rob got back from his interview and we headed downtown. While I was over at the Metrodome...I found that there is a light rail system that runs from the far end of downtown to Mall of America. So we rode the light rail downtown and saw Target Field which is the Twin's new field starting this season. After that we walked around down in the area, found a crappy mall with a little food court. I didn't want to spend too much since we are going to Mall of America tomorrow. I can't wait!!!
